Manama, March. The Central Bank of Bahrain announced that the monthly issuance of short-term Islamic leasing bonds “Sukuk al-Ijarah” was oversubscribed by 574%.
Subscriptions of BD 149.299 million were received for the BD 26 million issue which has a maturity of 182 days.
The expected return on the issue, which commences on March 29 and matures on September 7, is 6.13%, which is equivalent to the previous issue on February 2.
Ijarah sukuk are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This is Issue No. 211 (BH00032O8313) of the Short-Term Ijarah Sukuk Series.
