Manama, May 2 (BNA): The Central Bank of Bahrain announced that the monthly issuance of short-term Islamic leasing bonds “Sukuk al-Ijarah” was oversubscribed by 403%.
Subscriptions of BD 104.778 million were received for the BD 26 million issue which has a maturity of 182 days.
The expected yield on the issue, which begins May 4th and matures November 2nd, is 6.05% compared to 6.00 for the previous issue on April 6th.
Ijarah sukuk are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
