Carrick to lead United against Arsenal, Rangnick awaits visa

London, November 30 (BNA) Michael Carrick will captain Manchester United in the Premier League match against Arsenal on Thursday while coach Ralph Rangnick waits for a work visa.

Carrick was appointed in charge of the squad on a temporary basis after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sent off on November 21 and had played two games at the helm – a 2-0 win over Villarreal in the Champions League and a 1-1 draw at Chelsea in the Premier League.

Rangnick was hired as manager until the end of the season on Monday. Previously, he worked in Russia as Head of Sports and Development at Lokomotiv Moscow.

“While the club follows the regulatory procedures related to the work visa, Carrick will continue to lead,” United said on Tuesday.
