Manama, Jan. 12 (BNA): The Capital Governorate Police Department organized an exhibition for tobacco control.
This came within the framework of the Directorate’s efforts to obtain a certificate for health-promoting workplaces (diamond level), in coordination with the Directorate of Health and Social Affairs at the Ministry of Interior.
The Director General of the Capital Governorate Police Directorate, Brigadier General Ibrahim Saif Al-Najran, confirmed that the Directorate worked hard to obtain a certificate for health-promoting workplaces of the diamond category, as a specialized team was formed from the Directorate to fulfill the requirements for obtaining the certificate. The exhibition opened from January 10 to 26 and aims to educate the directorate’s employees about the harmful effects of smoking.
The program included defining the side effects of tobacco, smoking, passive smoking and electronic smoking, in addition to quitting and then following up to avoid relapse to smoking.
