WSP Middle East is currently looking for a CAD Technician to join our PMC Drainage master project in Qatar.
Your new role, what is your role?
* Responsible for executing CAD design tasks as directed by the engineer
* Coordinate with CAD supervisor and other CAD technicians regarding workload, good detailing practices and work procedures
* Producing graphics to maintain quality and accuracy
* Bring relevant and diverse experience to the position.
* Create and edit drawings and drawings in accordance with WSP ME CAD standards, detailing agreed practices and schedules
* Create 3D models to support design development
* Completion of CAD tasks received from engineers and CAD coordinator
* Create sections and details from overall arrangement drawings
* Ensure that drawings are issued and presented in an appropriate manner
* Provide regular business status updates, including risks or concerns, to the line manager
* Ensure that health and safety are included in all work practices in line with company policies
* Contribute to the technical capabilities of the CAD team as a whole
* Review the work of colleagues and peers for quality control and provide constructive feedback
* Attend team and project meetings as required
Contribute to the delivery of the business unit strategy
Supporting a corporate approach to sustainability
* Lead by example and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System
* Complete the exact timelines by the given deadline
* Notes on all business development opportunities
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Degree in CAD or related engineering subject with full knowledge of the latest CAD systems
* More than 5 years on various versions of AutoCAD (including the latest versions) and Micro Station. Extensive experience in CAD operating systems and engineering drawings
* Strong experience in designing rainwater drainage networks and flood protection measures
* Experience in construction and project management for sanitation projects involving wastewater and/or groundwater drainage networks, sewage pumping stations and rising main trains
