BTEA announces leasing of two plots in Bahrain Bay Beach project

Manama, June 9 (BNA) The Bahrain Tourism Authority has announced the leasing of two out of five plots of land listed in the Bahrain Bay Beach Project, one of the authority’s main strategic tourism projects in terms of developing the tourism infrastructure in the Kingdom.

The two plots of land will include private beaches that will be developed respectively by Wyndham Hotel (9137 sq m) and Sol Y Mar (9,045 sq m).

These projects will contain a variety of tourism services and facilities, such as hotels, restaurants and cafes, as well as recreational facilities.

On this occasion, BTEA organized a signing ceremony, and the two agreements were signed by the CEO of the authority, Dr. Nasser Qaidi, with Ahmed Mahmoud Mohamed Al-Qaed, representing Wyndham Hotel, and Kyriakos Zerkadas, representing Sol Ymar.

The authority stated that it will soon offer a third plot of land for the Bahrain Bay Beach project through the Tender Board, in order to provide an opportunity for companies interested in investing in the project and within the Bahrain Tourism Authority’s strategy to enhance the Bahraini tourism sector in cooperation with the private sector.

The beach of Bahrain Bay, which extends over 170,000 square meters, extends from the northern coast of Bahrain Bay to the south of Al Saya, with a coastline of 600 meters in length.

The project consists of five main stakes – a 200-meter public beach that will open at the end of this year, to be developed by BTEA, accounting for 28% of the project’s total area. This is in addition to an area for public facilities and 425 public parking spaces.
