BTC receives CAEP accreditation

Manama, May 18 (BNA): Among the leading regional institutions for teacher training, the Bahrain Teachers College (BTC) has received international accreditation from the American Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (CAEP).

Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, said that the college has achieved the highest levels of competence in all aspects of accreditation, including curricula, teaching methods, training, administrative skills, and regulatory compliance.

He praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the educational system in Bahrain, which enabled it to gain international recognition.

The minister expressed his gratitude for the follow-up and interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing and strengthening educational programs in Bahrain.

According to the minister, obtaining international accreditation will enhance the college’s ability to prepare teachers at the regional level, and enhance its chances of establishing partnerships with the most distinguished higher education institutions in the world.
