Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): The Bahrain Red Crescent Society announced that it will continue to receive donations from citizens and residents to help those affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.

The Sudanese Red Crescent Society said that these donations are for the relief of thousands of people affected by the earthquake that struck large areas in northern Syria and southern Turkey.

The earthquake resulted in tens of thousands of victims and hundreds of thousands homeless in many towns and villages.

The association called on everyone to support those afflicted by providing donations, relief aid, and urgent shelter.

The Somali Red Crescent Society stated that it is working within the national campaign supported by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) for the victims of this earthquake.

The Secretary-General of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Mubarak Al-Hadi, said that these donations reflect the Kingdom’s support for Syria and Turkey.

The donation campaign comes as part of the Bahrain Red Crescent’s response to the current critical humanitarian situation in both countries due to the devastating earthquake.

Al-Hadi added that the Bahraini Red Crescent extends a helping hand urgently by calling on all citizens, residents, institutions and companies in Bahrain to take the initiative to provide assistance to those affected and displaced by this earthquake.

The association called on everyone to make their donations through the “BenefitPay” application or the “Talabat” program, or at the association’s headquarters in the diplomatic area, by paying in cash, checks, debit cards, and credit cards.
