BJA, BIBF discuss cooperation

Manama, September 21 (BNA) The Board of Directors of the Bahrain Journalists Association held a meeting today with the Director General of the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh, and several officials.

They discussed a number of training programs for journalists and media graduates.

For his part, Issa Al-Shayji, President of BJA, stressed the great role that the institute plays in providing various institutions with professional competencies through its training and academic programs, noting that the institute is a leading model at the international level.

Al-Shayji said that cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Financial Studies is a qualitative addition to the institute, especially in the field of training and professional development.

The Director General of the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies praised the pioneering role played by the society in advancing society and supporting the process of development and progress, which reflects the Kingdom’s leading position in education and cultural and civilizational development.

Al-Sheikh expressed his pride in cooperating with the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate to advance the profession of journalism in the Kingdom by providing training and development opportunities for Bahraini journalists to increase their efficiency and hone their journalistic skills.

The two sides discussed topics of training courses that will be provided to journalists, which will raise their efficiency in various fields and contribute to meeting the needs of the press sector in the Kingdom and advancing them.
