Scope and objectives
• Responsible for assisting the credit department in ensuring adherence to the hotel’s credit policy, thus providing optimal protection for hotel receivables and gathering the ability to maximize cash flow.
• Aim to exceed 30+ day lifespan for debtors to exceed 90% and ensure timely billing of accounts and maintenance of receivable records.
• Perform any other reasonable duty assigned by the Credit Manager, Financial Controller or Executive Director of Finance.

Basic Responsibilities and Duties

• Check numbers, publications, and documents for accuracy.
• Organizing, securing, and maintaining all files, records, cash and the like in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Record, store, access and/or analyze computerized financial information.
• Classify, code, and summarize digital and financial data to compile and maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
• Preparing, maintaining, reviewing and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing or payroll reports and schedules.
• Complete period end closing procedures and reports as specified.
• Respond to and/or resolve questions, issues or disagreements from the guest.
• Processing tax credits for clients by following government regulations.
• Reviewing, reconciling and processing credit card vouchers and pre-deposits.
• Monitor and review gift certificate and incentive reward redemption activity.
