Bill Clinton released from Southern California hospital

Washington, October 17 (BNA) A spokesman for the US State Department said that Bill Clinton was discharged Sunday from a southern California hospital where he was treated for an infection, and will return to his home in New York to continue his recovery.

Wearing jeans, a sports coat and a face mask, he slowly made his way out of the hospital and stopped to shake hands with the doctors and nurses lined up on the sidewalk.

Dr. Albish N. Amin said in a statement posted on Twitter by a Clinton spokesperson that “Bill Clinton’s fever and white blood cell count are normal, and he will return to his home in New York to finish taking antibiotics.”

Clinton, 75, was admitted Tuesday to a hospital southeast of Los Angeles with an infection unrelated to COVID-19. Officials said he plans to continue his recovery at his home in Chappaqua, New York.
