BIC launches 30-day countdown to F1 Gulf Air Bahrain GP 2023

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): The Bahrain International Circuit has launched the final 30-day countdown to the first day open to the public in the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2023.

The opening round of the Formula 1 season will take place from March 3-5 at the “Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” in Sakhir.

The circuit will be open from Thursday of the week of the race, March 2, when three-day ticket holders can enjoy a behind-the-scenes view of the Pit-Lane Walk.

The on-track action will begin on March 3, with the main event, the 57-lap Bahrain Grand Prix, taking place under the lights on March 5.

Throughout the weekend there will be non-stop racing from morning to evening as the packed schedule will see F1 support from the FIA ​​Formula 2 Championship, FIA Formula 3 Championship and Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East.

F2 and F3 will stage the first two rounds of the 2023 seasons in Bahrain, while the BIC-based Porsche Sprint Challenge will hold the fifth and penultimate meeting of its 2022/2023 campaign.

Race-goers will also be able to enjoy all kinds of family attractions off the track, including carnival rides, touring acts, stage performances, kids’ activities, and an amazing live performance by multi-platinum artist DJ Snake.

BIC’s Early Bird shows have had the best sales ever compared to previous years, and BIC’s corporate lounges are already completely sold out.

Pre-season testing will see F1 teams and their drivers go out on track together in their new cars for the first and only time before the start of the 2023 season.
