BIBF, Gulf Air sign strategic partnership


Manama, May 30 (BNA) The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) – a provider of training and development services – has signed a memorandum of understanding with Gulf Air – the Bahraini national carrier, to provide training opportunities for Gulf Air employees in various competencies.


The BIBF Institute will provide Gulf Air employees with training in leadership, management, financial acumen skills, interpersonal skills, customer excellence, succession planning, workplace wellness, teamwork, and high-impact leadership, among other topics.


Gulf Air Acting CEO, Captain Waleed Al Alawi, said: “We are pleased to launch this partnership with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, which plays a key role in shaping our Bahraini talents and developing their skills.”


“Through the Gulf Air alliance and its dedication to developing inspiring global leaders, we believe that continuous training is the key to the sustainable development of individuals, teams and organizations. We invest in our people, and the partnership with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance will provide global opportunities for our human capital.”


BIBF Director Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hamid Al Sheikh said the partnership demonstrates the importance of continuous training and development.


“With today’s corporate requirements, it becomes imperative for companies and organizations to constantly keep employees informed of the dynamic changes in business-related areas, and provide them with seasoned and expert training, for professional development – the BIBF has entered into this alliance to facilitate delivery of what the entrepreneurs and our corporate partners need” .

Through this partnership, BIBF and Gulf Air will collaborate to provide global learning opportunities, through specialized courses and classrooms that go beyond traditional business theory.


The institute said the programs will provide hands-on education in leadership, succession planning, team building, and other areas that will help the company’s employees perform their work more efficiently and professionally.
