BHB concludes 2nd edition of Capital Markets Apprenticeship Programme



Bahrain Bourse concludes the second edition of the Capital Markets Professional Training Program<br />

















































Manama, July 26 / BNA / Bahrain Bourse (BHB), a self-regulating multi-asset market, hosted the final awards ceremony for trainees of the Capital Markets Professional Training Program in its second edition, in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors and Executive Management of Bahrain Bourse. At the graduation ceremony, eight trainees who completed the six-month apprenticeship program were honored.


The Capital Markets Professional Training Program, is a capacity building initiative that aims to develop and nurture young talents and capabilities in the capital markets sector, and is in line with the Bahrain Bourse’s financial awareness strategy. During the ceremony, the trainees were honored with certificates of completion of the program.


Shaikh Khalifa bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, commented on this occasion: “It is with great pride that we celebrate the conclusion of the second edition of the Capital Markets Professional Training Program. The program aims to provide trainees with essential professionals. Soft skills and enrich their knowledge in the capital market industry. Which in turn contributes to the development of the growing talent base in the Kingdom, and is in line with the pillars of Bahrain Bourse’s awareness strategy, and we would like to congratulate the graduates for their achievements and for demonstrating dedication and merit during the six-month period of the program, and we look forward to welcoming new categories in future editions.”


We would also like to express our gratitude to the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, members of the Board of Directors and the executive management of all listed companies and participating institutions who contributed to the success of the Capital Markets Apprenticeship Program by providing the trainees with an opportunity to hold roundtable discussions with key decision makers in the capital market.” He added. The six-month intensive Capital Markets Training Program allowed participants to network and interact with key decision makers in the capital market industry, gain knowledge of the capital market and investment, as well as benefit from hands-on experience by gaining a thorough understanding of Bahrain Bourse. And the Bahrain Clearing operations, qualify them to work in a range of disciplines within the capital market industry through the knowledge and experience gained.


The Capital Markets Apprenticeship Program supports Bahrain Bourse’s awareness initiatives, which seek to improve financial culture, which is a key pillar in Bahrain Bourse’s strategy to reach a broader segment of society. Furthermore, the program seeks to increase investment awareness among youth by bridging the academic and professional gap.


It is worth noting that the Capital Markets Apprenticeship Program, which was launched in 2021, is one of the capacity building initiatives launched by Bahrain Bourse with the aim of developing the capabilities of Bahraini youth in the capital markets industry. Other outreach initiatives include the TradeQuest Program, The Smart Investor, and The Investment Academy.
