London, November 7 (BUS): West Ham fans can still be heard singing “I’m blowing bubbles forever” around the bars of the London Stadium an hour after Liverpool’s defeat.
Not only was Liverpool banned from playing the club’s record 26th game unbeaten. Jurgen Klopp’s side were knocked out of third place in the Premier League by West Ham with a 3-2 victory on Sunday.
There hasn’t been much to celebrate at West Ham, especially in the five years since moving to the stadium at the centerpiece of the 2012 Olympics, according to the Associated Press.
West Ham, who finished third in the league’s highest rankings in 1986, look like contenders for the title two years after Moyes took charge of leading a team above the relegation zone by one point.
Building on their sixth-place finish last season – losing in the Champions League by two points – West Ham have now opened a Premier League season by winning seven of their 11 games for just the second time.
