BCCI Chairman highlights benefits of Golden License

Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Abdullah Nass, welcomed the launch of the golden license announced by the Council of Ministers.

The golden license provides incentives and simplified services for local and foreign companies. The license is granted to companies that create more than 500 job opportunities for citizens, or those whose investment value exceeds 50 million US dollars in the first years of their operation in the Kingdom.

Nass said that this step is in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to create a business environment that is friendly to companies and investors, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

He added that the golden license will contribute to making Bahrain more attractive to foreign investment and capital.

He pointed out that it contributes at the same time to the stability of the labor market by creating job opportunities for citizens and promoting economic growth and comprehensive development.

Nass added that the golden license will support initiatives to enable the private sector to implement huge development projects in Bahrain.

Nass affirmed the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s support for all initiatives that serve the growth of the national economy.

He said that the dynamic partnership between the public and private sectors is driven by the belief of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in the role of the private sector as a strategic partner in achieving sustainable development.
