BAS signs MOU with Bahrain Down Syndrome Society

Manama, March 2 / BNA / The Bahrain Airport Services Company (BAS) and the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at hiring a group of young Bahraini candidates with special needs in the company.


This comes within the framework of the company’s continuous efforts to train Bahrainis through dedicated programs aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two parties regarding the effective implementation of the comprehensive integration policy and the formation of a joint team to improve services. It is provided to people with Down syndrome according to the best and highest international standards.

He added: “Our long history and experience in human capital development through the comprehensive training programs of BAS Company give way to take such initiatives aimed at the effective implementation of the comprehensive integration policy for all citizens in accordance with the best and highest local and international standards. .


Ahmed Al-Ali, Director of the Down Syndrome Care Center, affirmed the interest that the company and the association attach to the field of engaging people with Down syndrome and the importance of community integration. He added that the coordination will include some basic awareness sessions on job requirements and other important training on social integration and its mechanism. It will also include training supervisors and providing them with the necessary skills and the latest training programs on job requirements in order to ensure that candidates are ready to perform their duties in the company to the fullest extent.

The signing of this memorandum is a belief in the right of members of the Down syndrome community to strive for equal employment opportunity to achieve inclusion in the contribution of the wider community to the national economy.
