New York, Oct. 28 (BUS): Pam Adebayo scored 24 points and nine rebounds to lead the Miami Heat to a 106-93 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
Jimmy Butler added 17 points for Miami (3-1). BJ Tucker finished with 15, and Tyler Hero and Dewyn Deadmon contributed 14.
A pre-season favorite to win the NBA championship, Brooklyn traded losses and wins during the first five games of the season and dropped to 2-3. Kevin Durant finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds, the Associated Press reported.

Washington center Daniel Gafford had to be helped off the field and was brought straight into the locker room halfway into the second quarter and never came back. The team had a correct contusion to the quadriceps muscle. The 6-foot-10 Gaford hit Boston’s Gaylen Brown’s foot and fell to the ground and grabbed his right leg.
