Bahrain’s vaccination efforts praised

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA) The Gulf Health Council praised Bahrain’s outstanding vaccination record, efforts and planning.

The Council highlighted the Bahraini efforts in vaccination and stressed that the Kingdom got rid of endemic measles and rubella in 2019, and how the percentage of routine vaccinations for children and other components of society reached 97%.

The Council added that Bahrain has been free of malaria since 1981, according to the World Health Organization, noting that the Kingdom participates in developing the 2021-2025 regional action plan to combat malaria.
