Rome, May 10 / BNA / The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Rome, Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Balushi, delivered a lecture entitled “The Global Action of the United Nations” at the invitation of the United Nations Global Action Foundation.
He stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to strengthen partnership with the United Nations and its agencies.
He stressed the importance of consolidating tolerance, international peace and security, respecting human rights and promoting sustainable development.
He highlighted Bahrain’s cooperation with other countries, including Italy, and its constructive partnership with international institutions under the Strategic Cooperation and Sustainable Development Framework Agreement with United Nations agencies.
He said that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, has achieved global recognition through its commitment to international human rights conventions and its active membership in international organizations.
He cited Bahrain’s recent election as a member of the NGO Committee for the years (2023-2026).
