Manama, March 2 (BNA): Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, received Director of Information and Communications Technology at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), Acting Head of External Affairs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Environmental Systems Expert and DIP (ITU) Coordinator Udita Chaturvedi.
The minister emphasized the ability of Bahrain’s youth to pioneer digital innovation in the Kingdom, and pointed out the importance of cooperation to continue empowering youth and providing them with opportunities to develop innovative solutions to challenges that technology can solve.
She pointed out the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority to involve Bahraini youth in the file for developing digital innovation in Bahrain (DIP), which is being held in cooperation with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the International Telecommunication Union.
Minister Al-Tawfiqi stressed the importance of supporting small and medium youth projects to increase their effectiveness in digital innovation, which will benefit building a sustainable competitive economy with Bahraini youth as an integral part.
The minister was briefed on the Bahraini digital innovation development file, its goals and positive results on youth.
The meeting discussed cooperation in supporting youth and reviewed opportunities to present youth programs in the field of digital innovation.
