Bahraini students prized at GCC halkathon

Dubai, February 25 (BNA) A group of Bahraini students won the Halkathon award, which was held at Expo 2020 Dubai.


They won the award for their campaign highlighting the health risks of electronic cigarettes (vaping).


The three-day Halkathon was held at the pavilion of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as part of the Expo 2020 Dubai initiatives.


The competition included three categories – the mental and social health of older adults, the dangers of e-cigarettes and the danger of drugs.


The Saudi students won the award for the best content (drugs) while the award for the most creative content went to the Qatari team (the dangers of vaping).


The Emirati team won the award for the best visual presentation (Mental and Social Health for the Elderly).


The Kuwaiti students’ team won the Team Spirit Award for their campaign highlighting the dangers of drugs.
