Bahraini-Qatari Follow-up Committee holds first meeting

Riyadh, Feb. 13 (BNA): The Bahraini-Qatari Follow-up Committee held its first meeting today, Monday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Riyadh.

The Bahraini delegation was headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Qatari delegation was headed by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al Hammadi.

The two delegations affirmed that the step came as an embodiment of the directives of the leaderships of the two countries and their keenness to preserve the future and entity of the Cooperation Council and to build on its achievements.

During the meeting, they reviewed the necessary procedures and mechanisms for the success of the bilateral talks to end the outstanding issues between the two countries in accordance with the Al-Ula statement issued by the Gulf Cooperation Council summit in Al-Ula and in a manner that achieves the aspirations of the peoples. the two countries for security, stability and prosperity.

The delegations agreed to hold periodic and continuous meetings to achieve the set goals.
