Abu Dhabi, March 2 (BNA): Bahraini jockey Ahmed Akbar won the showjumping race in Abu Dhabi (hurdles height 120-125 cm).
Bahraini Iyad Farid took second place in the tournament, which attracted a large number of knights who were in the battle, competing for a berth on the podium.
The winner extended his thanks and gratitude to the President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREF), His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, for his support.
He stressed the achievements made in foreign tournaments, which confirmed Bahrain’s sporting position, especially show jumping.
Ahmed Akbar and Iyad Farid also thanked coach and jockey Khaled Al-Khattato, praising his efforts that enabled them to achieve good results that honored the Kingdom of Bahrain.
