Bahrain welcomes UNGA’s adoption of International Day of Women in Diplomacy

Manama, June 25 (BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the International Women’s Day in Diplomacy on June 24 of each year in recognition of the vital role of women in promoting international cooperation to consolidate peace, security and peace. Supporting sustainable development at the international level.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, offered his congratulations to the Bahraini diplomats, and praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He also praised the follow-up of the Supreme Council for Women headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the sanctity of His Majesty the King, which contributed to the advancement of women and their active participation in diplomatic work. and decision-making, in line with the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2013-2022) and Bahrain’s 2030 Economic Vision.
