Manama, April 2 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the announcement of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg that a truce was reached in Yemen for a period of two months during which all military operations inside Yemen witnessed. On the Saudi-Yemeni border, it will stop.
In a statement, the Foreign Minister valued the response of the leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen and the Yemeni parties to the efforts of the UN envoy, which stems from the initiative announced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in March 2021 to end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution.
The ministry expressed its hope that this important step would pave the way towards ending the war in Yemen and reaching a comprehensive political settlement between the Yemeni parties to achieve peace and stability in the region.
