Bahrain, UAE sign MoU on cyber security cooperation

Manama, November 9 (BNA) The Chief Executive Officer of the National Center for Cyber ​​Security at the Ministry of Interior Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa confirmed the advanced level that relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have reached. He praised the cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries, especially in the field of cybersecurity.

This came in the statements of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed during his participation in the official delegation that accompanied His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister during His Highness’ visit to the UAE today.

During the visit of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the UAE, the CEO of the National Center for Cyber ​​Security, and the Chairman of the UAE Cyber ​​Security Council, Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, signed a memorandum of understanding between the two countries. Cooperation in the field of cyber security.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the two countries exchange information on cybersecurity risks and respond to information security incidents. They will also exchange educational and training programs on information security and awareness.

Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed indicated that the memorandum of understanding represents a qualitative addition to cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries in enhancing information security and addressing electronic challenges targeting databases and information systems, noting that it is within the framework of the minister’s directives. The Ministry of Interior supports the role of the National Center for Cyber ​​Security in spreading awareness and raising the response rate and efficiency in facing cyber security threats, which will contribute to raising the levels of electronic protection.
