Riyadh, September 14 (BNA) Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, met with UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Maryam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, on the sidelines of their participation in the 25th meeting of the Ministers of Municipal Affairs in the United Arab Emirates. Al Mubarak praised the Bahraini-Emirati relations and the strong cooperation at various levels to reduce gas emissions and improve the environment through afforestation strategies to double the number of trees in the country by 2035 in accordance with the United Nations goals on climate change. The climate plan includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions to achieve zero neutrality by 2060.
Al Muhairi praised the bilateral relations in the field of climate change, and affirmed aspirations to enhance cooperation.
