Manama, March 17 (BNA) A delegation from the House of Representatives headed by Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal will participate in the 144th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and related meetings that will be held in Indonesia on March 20 and 24.
The Assembly will take decisions on the emergency item and on the item addressed by the Standing Committee on Peace and International Security entitled Rethinking and reformulating the approach to peace operations with a view to promoting lasting peace, and by the Standing Committee on Sustainable Development entitled Leveraging ICT as an enabler for the education sector, including in epidemic times.
The Assembly is expected to conclude with the adoption of a final document on the general topic for general discussion.
