Bahrain to host Arab International Cybersecurity Summit in December Local


Manama, September 25 (BNA) Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Kingdom will host the Arab International Cyber ​​Security Summit.

The event, which will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center from 6-8 December, will attract a wide range of participants from different countries.

On this occasion, the National Security Adviser and Commander of the Royal Guard, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, affirmed that cyber security is an essential pillar of national security and economic development for the Kingdom.

HH Sheikh Nasser added that Bahrain’s security and prosperity depend on the existence of a secure ICT infrastructure, noting that the Kingdom is committed to protecting its interests in cyberspace, and has developed a national cybersecurity strategy to confront the current and growing cyber situation. threats and reduce the risks associated with them.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser also indicated that AICS is in line with the National Cyber ​​Security Strategy, and aims to meet the specific needs of exploring new technology, learning and dealing with the evolving global cyberspace.

The summit aims to promote innovation in the field of cybersecurity, highlighting global initiatives and the latest trends in the field.
