Bahrain to celebrate World Immunization Week

Manama, April 23 / BNA / Under the slogan “Long life for all”, the Kingdom of Bahrain joins the world in celebrating the World Immunization Week, which is celebrated in the last week of April every year. The celebration aims to highlight the importance of concerted efforts and advocate for vaccination to provide protection for all age groups and to raise awareness of the importance of vaccinations.

The Kingdom of Bahrain has come a long way in preventing diseases through vaccination thanks to the concerted efforts between the health sector and other sectors. This success is also due to the community partnership and the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the health sector.

Bahrain is committed to preventing infectious diseases through vaccination and implementing health strategies aimed at strengthening national capacities in this regard. The comprehensive vaccination program in the Kingdom is considered one of the pillars of public health and primary health care to protect people of all ages from various diseases.
