Bahrain shines in Malaysia’s 62nd international Quran competition

Kuala Lumpur, October 24 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain ranked first in the Malaysia International Quran Competition, ranking 62nd in Kuala Lumpur. The Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on this achievement.


The Minister praised the outstanding performance of the contestant, Mohamed Samir Mujahid, who took first place in the ceremony branch of the competition. More than 41 contestants representing more than 31 countries participated in the competition.


Mujahid, a student at the Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Center for the Memorization of the Noble Qur’an, represented Bahrain in a number of international competitions and achieved advanced positions.
