Bahrain Photographic Society holds “Stories and Camera Tales” exhibition

Manama, June 16 (BNA) The Bahraini Photographic Society held its second annual exhibition “Stories and Stories with the Camera”, which presented an abstract vision, stories and important personal photos.

Capital Governor Sheikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, event sponsor at Seef Mall, inaugurated the exhibition and met with talented photographers to discuss their work.

The 29 participants shared their photos capturing reality, people and places from different angles.

Deputy Governor Hassan Madan said: “This exhibition creates a great opportunity for the public to learn about outstanding talents and discover the photography community in the Kingdom, with the participation of 29 visionaries.”

Many of the participants showcased the beauty and authentic culture of Bahrain through their photographers, where they showed their originality and distinguished vision.

Dr. Jamila Al Watani, one of the participants, said: “My photography is called Green Gold and defines the green nature of Bahrain and defines the progress and continuity of this field as I tried everything in my power to portray the greenness of Bahrain and its growing divine culture.”

“This participation is a milestone for the photography communities as we meet other professionals and share their love of photography and experiences.”

The main vision of this year’s exhibition is the desire to make portraits an aesthetic and intellectual vehicle for understanding a world that provides intellectual, cultural, aesthetic, social, and anthropological depth to the image.

Hamid Al-Makhlouq said: “I participated in the category of people and images that fall under many categories of the exhibition, and these types of events educate the general public about the importance of the field.”

“It’s a great opportunity to introduce people to the evolution of photography and its advanced concepts such as lighting, angles and colors mashed up in one extraordinary image, and to send our message through images.”

Each participant had their own glowing touch as they presented their personalities, travel experiences and personal culture at the click of a button, attracting audiences from all over Bahrain to enjoy the art of photography.

“I am happy to witness such events being held in public places; Sarah Ali, one of the visitors, said it was a great idea to introduce people to the different images, I enjoyed sharing knowledge with all the professionals and understanding the true meaning behind their images and the deep feeling behind each image.
