Bahrain Permanent Mission in Geneva meets Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights official

Geneva, September 17 (BNA): The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Dr. Yousef Abdul Karim Bucheery, and Minister Plenipotentiary in the mission Hassan Musa Al Shafei. Today, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission, Director of the Field Operations and Technical Cooperation Division Christian Salazar Folkmann met in the presence of the Head of the Middle East and North Africa Division, Mohamed Ensour, on the occasion of his appointment. The Permanent Representative expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s congratulations to Christian Salazar on his appointment to the Office of the High Commissioner, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to achieve more cooperation and effective partnership by providing technical assistance in the field of protection and promotion of human rights, in order to further contribute to the advancement of the human rights system within the framework of Reform and the democratic approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He also expressed the Kingdom’s desire for fruitful cooperation with the High Commissioner and its keenness to work closely with it to advance the international system for the protection and promotion of human rights.
