Bahrain participates in World Health Summit

Berlin, October 18 (BNA) A delegation from government hospitals headed by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al-Ansari, CEO of government hospitals, participated in the World Health Summit 2022, held in Germany from 16-18 October. Theme “Together for a Healthier and Sustainable Tomorrow”.

The World Health Summit is one of the major international health gatherings and focuses, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), on commitment to global public interests, health equity, and robust multilateral action for protection. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ansari stressed that Bahrain’s participation in the summit comes within the framework of its keenness to support efforts to protect health and achieve sustainable development goals in the health sector.

This year, the World Health Summit focused on global risks and threats, including climate change, ecosystem degradation, epidemics, natural disasters, conflicts, violence, digital transformation, investment in health, challenges to universal health coverage, and ensuring a health system.
