Bahrain participates in GCC anti-corruption meeting

Riyadh, Dec. 22 (BNA): Chief of Public Security Lieutenant General Tariq Al-Hassan headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the first ministerial meeting of the GCC anti-corruption law enforcement agencies in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Al-Hassan highlighted the economic, social and security risks related to corruption, and stressed Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation between law enforcement authorities in the Gulf region to build capacities and exchange experiences.

He highlighted the global challenges in promoting integrity and combating corruption, and said that those obstacles can be overcome through dedicated work and supportive strategies to strengthen integrity frameworks.

Al-Hassan said the meeting will contribute to improving regional anti-corruption cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the heads of the anti-corruption law enforcement agencies in the GCC countries, which was organized by the Saudi Authority for Control and Anti-Corruption.
