Bahrain participates in ADSW

Abu Dhabi, January 17 (BNA): Chairman of the Electricity and Water Authority, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dinah, and Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Yasser bin. Ibrahim Humaidan participated in a government delegation at the opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.

The event was inaugurated under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

The Chairman of the Electricity and Water Authority praised the efforts of the UAE in organizing this global event to discuss development mechanisms and unite efforts to ensure a secure future and the development of climate neutrality.

He stressed the Kingdom’s interest in the future of energy, resource development and sustainability.

The Chairman of the Board highlighted Bahrain’s goal of preserving its environmental future and international treaties.

Minister Humaidan affirmed Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week’s keenness on international solidarity and achieving the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.

He praised the ministry’s strategies to achieve the Kingdom’s goal of zero carbon neutrality by 2060.
