Cairo, October 18 (BNA) The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, participated in a high-level international conference entitled “Tolerance, Peace and Sustainable Development in the Arab World”. “.
The event was organized by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the League of Arab States.
Dr. Sheikh Khalid stressed that Bahrain enjoys a solid legislative and legal structure that encourages tolerance and coexistence since ancient times until now. This structure was not limited to criminal law only, but also to administrative laws, media, children, family, women, maternity, labor laws and others, which indicates Bahrain’s keenness to spread peace and coexistence.
He said that the construction of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence is an important step in this journey for peace.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors advised Arab countries to improve educational curricula to create a generation that adheres to the principles of peace, tolerance and acceptance of the other.
