Bahrain participates in 32nd session of UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice



Vienna, May 27 (BNA): Director General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Sciences Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Rumaihi headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the 32nd session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), which was held here on Tuesday. May 19-27.

In his speech before the session, His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, conveyed his greetings to the participants, and his wishes for success and payment. He pointed out that the participation showed Bahrain’s keenness to enhance international security cooperation.

He reviewed the Kingdom’s achievements in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice, including the implementation of the Alternative Procedures and Penalties Law in 2018 as a project to promote criminal justice and human rights, along with open prison programs.
