The Supreme Media Council urged the public watching the new Shawwal crescent to contact the crescent sighting committee.
The text of the statement of the Supreme Investment Council is as follows:
“Praise be to God, and prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions. The Supreme Media Council announces that the crescent sighting committee will meet on April 20 to receive news and testimonies about the birth of the new crescent of Shawwal for the year 1444. Ah.
We urge the public to contact the Crescent Sighting Committee in case a new crescent is sighted.
We would like to pay tribute to those who fasted and prayed to God Almighty in His blessed month and appreciate those who helped the poor and less fortunate because this blessed month of Ramadan gives great importance to charity and gives a great reward to those who give it.
May God accept our fasting in the blessed month of Ramadan, and may the kingdom be delivered, headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
