Bahrain Islamic Index closes higher

Manama, May. 8 (BNA): Bahrain General Index closed at 2,042.80 points, recording a decrease of 11.50 points from the previous close.

This decline is attributed to the decline in the consumer goods sector, the financial sector, the materials sector, and real estate.

The Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 745.62 points, recording an increase of 0.89 points from the previous closing.

The results indicated that 75 transactions were made on equity with a volume of 1,744,088, with a value of BD 556,641.

Investors mainly trade in the financial sector, representing 46.5% of the total value of traded securities.
