Bahrain Islamic Index closes higher

Manama, January 30 (BNA): The Bahrain General Index closed at 1806.86 points, recording a decrease of 0.71 points from the previous close.

This decline is attributed to the decline in the communications services sector, the financial sector, the real estate sector, and the consumer goods sector.

The Bahrain Islamic Index closed at the level of 762.85 points, recording an increase of 2.91 points from the previous closing.

The results indicated that 99 transactions were made on equity with a volume of 7,914,778, with a value of 1,306,603 BD.

Investors mainly trade in the financial sector, representing 87.31% of the total value of traded securities.
