Bahrain Islamic Index closes higher

Manama, January 22 (BNA): Bahrain’s general index closed at 1,925.94 points, recording a decrease of 1.26 points from the previous close.

This decline is attributed to the decline in the industry and materials sector.

The Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 658.73 points, recording an increase of 3.93 points from the previous close.

The results indicated that 41 share transactions were executed with a volume of 1,012,581, with a value of 300,628 Bahraini Dinars.

Investors trade mainly in the materials sector and account for 33.52% of the total value of securities traded.
