Bahrain Islamic Index closes higher

Manama, October 24 (BNA) The Bahrain General Index closed at 1,863.78 points, recording a decrease of 2.60 points from the previous close.

This decrease is attributed to the decrease in the materials sector.

The Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 654.58 points, an increase of 0.44 points from the previous close.

The results indicated that 49 transactions were made on equity with a volume of 1,230,298, with a value of 260,952 Bahraini dinars.

Investors mainly trade in the materials sector and represent 53.86% of the total value of traded securities.
