Bahrain International Trophy upgraded to Group 3 status

Manama, October 5 (BNA) The Bahrain International Cup has been promoted to third place within the international group, and the Kingdom of Bahrain has been promoted to the second part of the Blue Book after the approval of the International Federation of Horse Racing Authorities (IFHA).

In addition to promoting the Bahrain International Cup to international status in Group C, the International Classification and Racing Planning Advisory Committee (IRPAC), the Asian Style Committee (APC), has awarded a status listed in the Charter Cup and His Majesty’s King and His Majesty’s Cup. His Highness the Crown Prince Cup.

The upgrade of these four races comes at a very exciting time for horse racing in Bahrain with the upcoming third round of the Bahrain International Cup on Friday 19 November 2021 and the start of the new Bahrain Turf Series starting on Friday 10 December 2021.

This important development is attributed to the continued support that the Bahraini equestrian industry receives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and is supported by the commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
