Manama, Dec. 25 (BNA): The National Audit Office (NAO) is hosting a meeting of the INTOSAI Professional Declarations Forum (FIPP), the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI)’s assessment and approval body. Professional statements.
The Auditor General of the National Office of Financial Control and Accounting, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, said that Bahrain’s hosting of this important meeting will add to Bahrain’s achievements and progress, as a number of representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions members from all over the world will attend the meeting.
He stressed that the meeting opens an opportunity to enhance the experiences of exchanging joint work and building bridges between international organizations and oversight bodies.
The National Office of Audit and Audit has been a member of the Forum since January 2020 that facilitates the development of international standards for Supreme Audit Institutions, ensures their technical quality and consistency, and promotes high-quality public sector auditing.
The NAO Forum in Bahrain brings together the SAIs of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, USA, Canada, Australia, India, Tunisia, Nepal, Guatemala, Latvia and Bulgaria, as well as the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and European. The Auditors’ Office and AFROSAI.
Since 2005, the Office of Internal Audit has been a member of the Professional Standards Committee of INTOSAI (PSC) as a representative of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI).
