Bahrain hosts forum on international humanitarian law

Manama, Dec. 7 (BNA): The National Committee for International Humanitarian Law, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Bahrain Red Crescent Society organized a symposium on the philosophy and content of international humanitarian law and its latest developments and applications.

The symposium was organized in cooperation with the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Chairman of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law, Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda, stressed the importance of the course, which focuses on the applications of international humanitarian law.

He praised the efforts made by the International Committee of the Red Cross and its role in promoting the principles of international humanitarian law, and working to strengthen partnerships for humanitarian and relief work.
