Bahrain gearing up for the 2021 Asian Paralympic Youth Games

Manama, September 24 (BNA) Preparations are in full swing to host the 2021 Asian Youth Paralympic Games, which will open on November 21.

The continental championship will continue until December 7, based on the directives of His Majesty the King, to host regional, continental and international events and to enhance Bahrain’s position as the capital of youth and sports.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee Noaman Al-Hassan said that the organizational and technical preparations for the continental event are nearing completion.

He also highlighted the directives of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian and Youth Affairs, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Chairman of the General Sports Authority and Bahrain Olympic Committee (His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors).

He praised the follow-up of the Bahraini Paralympic Committee Chairman Sheikh Mohammed bin Daij Al Khalifa, noting that the leading Asian teams will participate in the continental championship.

He described the upcoming continental tournament as a real test for the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, which will also host the 2022 West Asian Championship in February.
