Bahrain exports 400 million worth of products of national origins in October

Manama, Nov. 16 (BNA): The Information and e-Government Authority issued its report on foreign trade in October 2022, including data on the trade balance, imports and exports (national origin) and re-exports.

The value of imports increased by 11%, reaching 500 million dinars during October 2022, compared to 452 million dinars for the same month of the previous year. The top ten countries accounted for 68% of the value of imports, while the remaining countries accounted for 32%.

According to the report, China ranked first in imports to Bahrain with a total of 65 million dinars, the United Arab Emirates came second with 47 million dinars, and Brazil ranked third with 45 million dinars.

Non-agglomerated iron ores and concentrates emerged as the best product imported to Bahrain, with a total value of 65 million Bahraini dinars, while aluminum oxide came in second place with 32.4 million dinars, and aircraft parts ranked third with 32.2 million dinars.

The value of exports of national origin increased by 9% to reach 400 million Bahraini dinars in October 2022, compared to 366 million Bahraini dinars for the same month of 2021.

The top ten countries in terms of the value of exports of national origin purchased from Bahrain accounted for 77% of the total value, while the remaining countries accounted for 23%.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first among the countries receiving Bahraini exports of national origin, as it imported 85 million Bahraini dinars from Bahrain. The United States came in second place with 46 million dinars, and the United Arab Emirates ranked third with 42 million dinars.

Unwrought aluminum ingots emerged as the largest exported products during October 2022 with a value of BD 141 million, agglomerated and concentrated iron ores came in second place with a value of BD 61 million, and unwrought unwrought aluminum ranked third with a value of BD 37 million.

The total value of re-exports increased by 44% to reach BD 83 million during October 2022, compared to BD 57 million for the same month of the previous year.

The top ten countries accounted for 91% of the re-export value, while the remaining countries accounted for 9%. Singapore ranked first with 19 million dinars, Saudi Arabia second with 18 million dinars, and the United Arab Emirates third with 13 million dinars.

Aircraft spare parts came at the top of the list of products re-exported from Bahrain with a value of 29 million dinars, portable automatic digital data processing machines came in second place with a value of 4 million dinars, and gold bars came in third place with a value of 3.6 million dinars.

The trade balance, and the difference between exports and imports, the value of the trade balance deficit amounted to 17 million dinars during October 2022, compared to 29 million dinars for the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 41%.
