Bahrain embassy in UK organizes sports activities


Manama, February 10 (BNA) The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in London held a sports event for embassy staff with the participation of Ambassador Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.


Bahrain celebrates its annual sports day, which witnessed its birth in line with the decision of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and in implementation of the initiative of His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, His Highness. Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and under the supervision of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, headed by the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the Public Sports Authority, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.


This activity reflects the Kingdom’s keenness to consolidate sports culture and promote public health and a healthy lifestyle, and included a variety of exercises, such as aerobics, running and virtual disc imaging activity.

The ambassador stressed the importance of exercising vigorously to maintain physical fitness and prevent health problems, especially during the spread of the epidemic, praising this qualitative initiative that would consolidate sports culture and make it a way of life in Bahraini society.
